President’s Message

Greetings from Treaty 1 in (still) snowy Winnipeg!  I hope all of our members had a restful, renewing, and productive break whether it was spent at home or travelling to the places that fill your soul.
Having recently held my

first choir concert in 2 years, I have hope for the future of our programs as we rebuild and renew our dedication to quality music education for all students across Canada.

It has been a busy winter and will be an even busier spring for Music Educators across the country.
The CMEA would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to our outgoing journal editor Charlene Ryan and a warm welcome to our incoming editor, adam bell.  Congratulations are also in order to our colleagues at the Coalition for Music Education as they celebrate their 30th anniversary and have unveiled a new composition for Music Monday.

As we slowly and safely return to music making and live performances, I wish you all a happy, healthy, and music filled spring season.

Miigwech and musically yours,
Becky Brown
President, CMEA/ACME
