President’s Message:
Hello CMEA and Happy June!
We are in unprecedented times and I applaud the work that each of you has done to see that our students continue to have quality music experiences together, even though we are physically separated. I know that you have questions about how September will look. We all do, but rest assured that we are working behind the scenes and with various other national and provincial organizations to advocate for the best possible solutions for our students and music education in Canada.
I encourage you to share amongst yourselves the strategies, activities, tricks and tips that have been successful for you during distance learning, because I can guarantee that someone can benefit from your knowledge and experience.
With all of that being said, I would encourage you to do your part for music education in Canada and complete The National Survey questionnaire that has been sent to you all. Encourage your administrators to complete the survey as well so as to give the best possible picture of Music Education in Canada. Our voices help to shape the future and the possibilities can be endless. The National Survey can be found here;
