The CMEA/ACME is pleased to announce the winner of the 2015 Pat Shand Canadian Music Essay Competition. Ms. Jennifer Skidmore, Master of Music Candidate at the University of Western Ontario, is this year’s recipient for her essay entitled: “From Discord to Harmony: How Canadian Music Educators can support young Syrian refugees through Culturally Responsive Teaching.” The author will receive a $300 cash prize, donated by Dr. Pat Martin Shand.
